Junior Results

Saturday 5th April

Farnham Roller Hockey Club’s newly re-formed junior squad, The Bumblebees, had their first tournament experience on Saturday. Playing at Guildford Spectrum in the Southern Region Tournament, the team got a taste of competition against other junior roller hockey sides.

Their first game against Rickmansworth resulted in a 1-1 draw, with the Farnham goal scored by Cameron Mundell. The Bumblebees second game against Plymouth ended 7-1 to Plymouth, Farnham’s goal scored by Louis Spencer. The final game against the impressive Kent Academy side, resulted in a 10-1 score with an equally impressive goal from Farnham’s Cameron Mundell, but unfortunately not a win.

The Bumblebees were not downhearted by these results; instead Ollie Drew’s first comment after their final game was “When’s the next one?” All agreed that it was a great day out; and that for a team who had never played together before, they should be very proud.

Farnham Roller Hockey Club was formed in 1975 and is now based at Farnham Leisure Centre training on Sunday evenings.
