Rink Hockey, or Roller Hockey originated in England and was first played at The Lava Rink in Denmark Hill, London, in 1885. The game consisted of 10 men on each side, and was first played with a tennis ball and with ordinary walking sticks. Players use quad skates and excessive physical contact is forbidden.
