Head Coach Guidelines 2023/2024
1. With immediate effect, all hockey training on Monday and Thursday MUST be booked online in advance. No payment will be allowed on the day. No payment means no training.
2. Sunday Evening training can be paid on the day, but, monthly DD is strongly preferred.
3. Players must be registered with the NRHA to take part in Farnham RHC training sessions.
4. Players MUST arrive ready to start their training on time. If you arrive late, you will not be allowed on the rink until the exercise is finished and the Coach will then allow you on.
5. Players MUST train in the correct Farnham RHC Training kit on every training session. No other kit will be allowed. If you do not have a training top, you may borrow one if available from the club, which you will need to wash and then return, but you will need to order your own. You can purchase them from Paul or Callum.
6. Players MUST have the correct equipment in which to train; Skates, Shin Pads, Knee Pads, Gloves, Stick. If you do not have the correct kit with you, then you may not be allowed to train.
7. Training is compulsory for all players. Players who do not attend regularly will not be selected for FRHC Squads or games and risk losing their place in the squad. Players who lose their place as a result of poor attendance may reapply for a place in the squad, provided there is a satisfactory explanation for poor attendance and appropriate assurances in respect of future attendance.
8. NO leaving the rink without asking permission from a coach first.
9. Players who are unable to attend a training session or game must inform their Coach or the Club Secretary or Administrator as soon as possible. Failure to do so will mean the absence will be recorded as a non-attendance for the purposes of assessing the attendance record of the player.
10. A player who is expelled or loses his place in the Squad through poor attendance shall not be entitled to a refund of monthly subscriptions paid.
11. All players MUST sign the code of conduct. Players who refuse to sign will not be allowed to play, train or take part in any club related activities that involve Farnham RHC.
12. Parents MUST sign and abide by the Parents Code of Conduct. Parents who choose not to do so risk the expulsion of their child from the Squad. Parents who refuse to sign will not be allowed to be present during training or games that involve Farnham RHC.
13. Verbal or physical abuse by a player or parent is likely to lead to immediate expulsion of the player from the squad.
14. (non-personal) match kit must be returned promptly when requested, otherwise players may be charged for new kit
